Default 6 speed starter help

Hi evryone,
I'm just fitting my 6 speed to my 96 STI & Iv a problem with the 5 speed starter. It will fit but the lower bolt hole has no threads in it & looks like it was made that way. Has anyone else encountered this & what was the solution? Thanks.

when i fitted a six speed to my type r the 5 speed had a stud on the gearbox bellhousing but the stud was too small for the six speed housing so had to use a bigger bolt and drill out the lower starter hole so the bolt would go through.
There was a thread though in the bellhousing though
