hi people i have a my95 wrx turbo import,i was out a few weeks ago
messing around and did a few donuts,after i was driving it sounded like there was metal dragging.so parked it up until yesterday,took it out and the noise is still there its a cross between sounding like metal dragging and metal clanking.i wouldnt say its the gearbox as i have done 9 gearboxs and thats a totally diffrent noise.if im driving and hold the revs at 4000rpm then the noise is there if i accelorate it goes or take foot of the pedal it goes just when i hold it as a certain rev you can hear it and it seems worse in 5th.could it be the centre diff that is attached to the gearbox thats making the noise any help would be much appriciated...also there is no trouble changing gear or driving the car just this noise but it gets very loud so need to find were it is coming from
