Default Boost solenoid loud ticking

Hello. Not long had my hawkeye sti and I noticed a ticking noise under load until engine is warm. Traced it down to the boost solenoid as I can feel it and hear it when the engine is idling. The noise goes once the engine is warm, the 3 port was fitted about 5 years ago after a re-map by the previous owner and this was carried out by tsl

Does my solenoid now need changing? Everything seems ok other than the noise but I do find it annoying as I hate noises that are not supposed to be there. Any advice will be appreciated

Iv always put a patch of dynamat on bulkhead and surrounding area where solenoid is fitted and small patch on underside of bonnet. Plus an extra rubber gromet on fitting.

If you adjust your Throttle Position Sensor a tiny amount up or down, the clicking will disapear.

in fact although it is normal for it to tick, ticking on idle is not necessary and the boost duty tables can be or should be adjusted so that it doesnt tick until high throttle positions so that it cannot be heard over the engine.

Its a map quirk on the current map to be doing it at idle.
