Default What is this?

Just found this hanging around in my enginebay. It's bolted on where the oil filler neck meets the block. I'm assuming it's something to do with the A/C (which I don't have)? What is it and do I need it there?

Cheers. Looks like I don't need it then (V6 UK Classic, single coilpack with one plug).
