6 speed conversion on standard sti5/6 shafts???
Just a quick one for you more knowledgable guys,i`ve done the 6 speed box conversion on my sti v5 and have kept the standard rear shafts and classic 3.54 diff to keep the costs down, the only worry i have now is the strength of the sti 5 shafts.
i am running 505/456 and worried the rear shafts wont be able to cope with me launching the car,i plan to do some quater mile runs this year as ive never done it before and wasnt sure if the shafts will be up to the job, what do you reckon.

I would echo that-they may break, but just carry some spares.
Watched a guy at the hill climb manage tio buy and fit a propshaft to his Mk2 escort last year, and he only missed one run!
