Default Oversized pistons

Hi

I did a quick search and could find any real answers.

I have a MY96 UK Turbo and have been looking at possibilities for the future of my Scoob, one being gradual engine upgrades, so have been trying to understand what possibilities are.

Looking at forged pistons (Wossner), they have standard size and oversized at 0.5mm and 1.0mm all for the same price. (http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?c=...SUB&s=category)

What difference does having oversized pistons make and what are the pros/cons and (except for a remap) would I need to do to accommodate oversized pistons?

Thanks

(Note: This isnt imminent, we are talking potentially next year or two, I have various upgrades to do first, I am aware of that. I just want the knowledge!!).

the pistons are oversize due to the fact you need to rebore the block when fitting them

If you can get away with standard size pistons do that. Over size really is just for if there scoring damage to the bores

+1
Would expect to see taper and ovality on the bores if on it's original engine.
Always good to start a build with nice fresh bores.
