Default sensor in up pipe?

03 blob WRX. garage have swapped my up pipe for a harvey one - but now tell me the std one has a sensor in.

whats it for (presumably lambda?) and how do i get round not having it in use now i have the harvey uppipe on?

Exhaust gas temperature sensor, you dont need it once you have decatted. disconnect its plug above the driverside wheel arch..

As bendy says it's the EGT sensor......unplug it by the drivers side suspension turret. You will get a CEL which can either be mapped out or a resister can be plugged into the EGT sensor plug socket (you wil have to google the correct ohm).

Really handy having the cable and being able to tweak etc, I am amazed my brain hasnt exploded yet with all this new fangled knowledge crammed in there. Best buy this past year I think.
