Problem caused trying to jump start car
My Classic (MY00 UK turbo) has a flat battery (I'm not using it much at the moment). Last week I successfully jump started it from our Ford Focus. Today it was flat again and without having the Focus a friend tried to jump it from a Ford diesel van (I had a funny feeling that this might be the wrong thing!).
When I connected the leads there were some sparks when the negative lead was connected to the Impreza. Now there is no power: no dash lights or any sign that the engine will try to start, except that the side lights and indicators have power. I'm thinking that something has shorted, or a fuse blown?
Any advice is much appreciated.
Nick

I had a simlar problem with my old MX5 i know its a different car, but the battery was so dead it caused sparks just cause it was taking the power from the other car, could be just your battery man, could be litrally no life in it what so ever
