i will be upgrading my bug to blob rear end but i have a question

in the following post

see picture 8 and 10

there is a bracket shown on picture 10 just under the boot lid now is this the same but shown on picture 8 ( bracket removed )

as the bumper i have has the same bracket in picture 10 of which i took off buy removing the plastic clips.

so im asking can the support bracket be left on the car and just remove the platic clips?

I dont see why not, Changed a couple of bug rear bumpers and left them on the car in the past and refitted to them but in all honesty these were a straight swap over like for like.

 

well both do look the same i just thought it would be easier just taking the plastic clips off
