Default I think I SH*T myself!!!

I had my car parked up for approx 8 hours at work today.
Upon returning home i could hear a loud ticking noise!
I wasnt far from home so carried on driving but my paranoid mind got the better of me and i was convinced my bottom end was nocking!
After a change into clean underwear i changed the oil and filter and started it back up. It sounds ands runs really smooth but i noticed the ticking sound was actualy from the solenoid (Thank FU*K).

My question is are the solenoids repairable? could it just be the cold weather or is it a case of changing it? FYI it is a 2 port solenoid on a uk classic

Many thanks

Just as a added note you might be tempted to get a 3 port boost solenoid but I think that requires a remap.

If you were planning on doing some mods this might just be a good excuse. Lmaooo

Just an update on a very old thread. Cleaned the boost solenoid out with some evaporating spray and it seems to have done the trick still going with no noise almost a year on now!

Thanks for the help!
