Default Open and LSD

I was thinking about the AWD and on my classic, not sure about other models, it has LSD on the rear and an open diff on the front.
Handling wise if the car is stuck to the ground is the LSD really needed, or would a LSD on the front benifit?

Would an Impreza be better with an AWD system with LSD all around?

What would it be like with open on both the front and rear?

Thanks

If you have massive power it will benefit otherwise I'd not bother unless tracking it. You can get LSD's for the front - type RA IIRC.

Why would this be, becuase when you loose traction the LSD would transfer the power to the side with traction?

Looking at the RCM Gobstopper build that appears to have an open diff on the front.

Thanks
