Do a search on here there have been posts on this subject as to wether tubular or ported OE headers. If I remember correctly the comments were ported were better till you got to high BHP's. Personally I had tubular headers on my 02 STi and with a FMIC and induction kit, no mapping (this was 9 years ago) It showed a 30 bhp increase on a pre-mod RR run.

If it has two bolts for connecting the up-pipe to the headers DON'T bother as they are a pain to get to seal properly. Save up ang get a decent one that uses three bolts. Been there and wearing the warning t-shirt.

Tubular headers are best suited for 400+ and can be a bit over kill for less spec'd cars as you will lose some early spool up but will make some gains around the top half of the rev range. If you want a better performing road car then speak to Harvey about a set of ported headers and matching up pipe as these will be better suited to your current spec.
