Oil selection -Sustained high speed and high ambient temp
I am proposing a 4-5,000 km trip across northern Australia . Between Perth and Cairns.
I expect to maintain 150-200 kms /hour and will expect ambient air temperatures of 35c and above.
Although a MY99 and slightly modified , VF22 , link ecu , FMIC , exhaust etc , the engine has only completed 65,000 kms.
Should I use a race oil say a Redline 50WT for the trip and dump it when I arrive at destination or something else ?

Well I don't know what the roads are like, but with the rigorously enforced speed limits there, I wouldn't think you'll need anything too special.
If you think you will be doing 150 - 200 kmh you will have your car confiscated - so maybe just get the cheapest oil you can find. ;-)

All the roads are sealed .
Speed can be an issue between Perth and Geraldton , but north of Geraldton ok
In the Northern Territory no speed limit outside city limits.
Queensland maybe an issue though.
I'd say if you fit an external cooler you should be ok with a good std fast road/track day type oil. Personally I use Fuchs Pro S 10W50 I may be switching to Pro R 15w50 next change though.

What you need to understand about Aus is that all taxes are raised federally and then divvied out to the states
The states have very limited revenue streams and speeding fines are one of their biggest lines of revenue raising. Others being gambling, petrol excise, **** etc.
The police will show very little tolerance and absolutely no discretion in matters of speeding. They do have the power (frequently taken) to confiscate cars of "hoon" drivers, of which they will consider you to be one if you follow your plans.
I go there on a regular basis due to family ties and usually get done every second visit. The last time I went, I was done for doing 127 kph in a 110 limit by a cop car coming over the brow of a hill with a forward looking radar at a distance of about a mile. We were the only two cars as we were in the middle of no-where. They have pretty sophisticated equipment compared to here and will also use spotter planes on the type of route you envisage.
Australia does have a reputation for being relaxed and laid back, but it is in fact an extremely highly regulated society, as anyone who travels with their eyes open, will notice. As an example, try buying a SIM card there.
