I don't know the first thing about the ins and outs of this but have seen this available on a site. Maybe of interest??

Cheers bud I've already inquired about the stroker kit when I was at the autosport show at nec , I was hoping some of you,s could shed some light on successful engines or best place to get these dropped in at? Cheers for reply tho
TBH, I'm not sure how many replies you will get with such an obscure title. I didn't know what it was......but I'm no engine expert
Try reposting, same forum, under the title, "2.7 litre conversion? OK or not?", or something similar.
Probably get more replies.

If your going over 460-470 bhp then i would go with a 2.1 or a 2.33 as they are way stronger. If you are staying under the 450 bhp mark then a 2.5 is fine and probably the best to drive on road as the power is always there and spool is very good.
I'm not a professional, but an enthusiast, so don't know no where near as much as some people on here, but i wouldn't go for a 2.7 if the block has not been pinned or converted to closed deck.
The 2.5 is a weak engine as standard as the cylinder walls are thin, by reboring it even more your making the cylinder walls even thinner and the problem even worse. you could have a 2.7 if you really wanted, but it would either need to be a re-linered CDB or you would have to get yours pinned, if you want the engine to be fairly reliable when going for big power.
all imho of course.

Yeh I thought of that route I'm on doing a resto on the misses 22b it's needed some work to say the least lol reckon she'd know if I put a 2litre in lol as I say I've got the block laid there just wanted some advice or opinions on theb2.7 route.... Cheers for the replies
As above EJ22 will be best option for your power level.
About the 2.7L i've seen just few of them on Nasioc, but price of this stroker is much higher than 2.35(EJ22)
For 600bhp you are looking in deep pockets, good luck and hope so will be nice project
Second thing on PPG at 600bhp,you will need at least Albin PPG kit which is proven at 600bhp,not sure on others or go with Hawkeye 6speed setup

Would a six speed cope with the torque levels? Yeh I understand the coin amount on building a monster lol with the 2.2 route who will be best for the rods and pistons? What size will the bore go too?
6speed will cope with this power and torque, some guys run 600bhp+ for few years without the issue,we are went with PPG because great gear ratios if you are comparing to 6speed,yes Hawkeye 6speed have nice too gear ratios
For rods and pistons i would ask Mark@Lateral Performance http://lateralperformance.co.uk/ or email Real Street performance http://realstreetperformance.com/store/
