Default Diff oil

Hi,

I'v had a search but brought up more questions than answers, I'v an 06 STi and trying to find out what oil I need for the rear diff, using millers CRX 75/90 in the gearbox, but do I need Limited slip oil for the diff?

I also have a litre bottle of castrol syntrax 75/140 LS diff oil left over from my M3,is that ok to go in?

thanks,

Ben

Hi Ben

You can use the same oil in the diff as is in the gearbox, the Impreza diffs don't need a LSD specific oil.

The 75w-140 is a bit thick, but should be okay.

Cheers

Tim

You want 90 LS on that mate.
I used 75/90 on mine (06 STI Spec D) and it sounded like it was going to rip itself to pieces.
