Default steering wheel help

Ive got a face lift classic with airbag, on taking the wheel off thinking it would be same as import boss i found it not to be.

can anyone give me some advice on how to fit an aftermarket steering wheel without airbag and also what resistor do i need and where to buy from to stop airbag light coming on.

can i take the whole facelift airbag boss off and fit an earlier import classic standard boss?

thanks.

You've lost me. There IS no boss for a classic wheel, the whole wheel just slides onto splines on the steering column, and they are the same for classic, import, newage etc.

Are you on about the clockspring and airbag connectors? They have to be modded according to which wheel you want to fit.

It's best to get any new wheel complete with it's clockspring.

Be careful of the new MoT regs for 2012.

"The vehicle will fail the test if any airbag fitted as original equipment is obviously missing or defective."

want i mean is can i completely take off my original boss with air bag fitment and that black rotating thingy with yellow sticker on as i dont want to add an aftermarket boss on top of that one plus steering wheel will be too far out.

so can i replace the complete unit for an earlier import non airbag one.
