API/JGM
Recently had a rebuild with API on a 100,000 mile 2.5 STI MY06.
Very professional service making use of forged pistons, nitrided crank, upgraded head studs, cosworth sump baffle plus a couple of other little nick/nacks.
As the old turbo was cracked, it was replaced with a newish second hand SC38 billet jobby.
After 1000 miles of running non turbo, went to Surrey rolling road and had mapping by JGM. Got 290 bhp at wheels (367 pub talk BHP at flywheel) with full boost from 3300 and over 340ft/lb torque between 3500 and 6000 rpm. Quite happy with these figures.
As a Brucie-bonus, I can also toggle to map featuring flat-shifting and auto-blip down-shift. I declined the offer of launch control for varying reasons.
Can't wait for first track day.
Cheers to all involved.
