Default what mods next???

iv got a classic import and as far as im aware its a wrx even though it is badged up as an sti

so standard the ecu cant be remapped i believe and it has a td04 turbo is this correct?

so far the car has got an after market exhasut of unknown manufacturer however it seems to be made to a good standard and its 3 inch i think

there are no cats on it

it has a cone air filter on it

a toyosport front mount intercooler and thats about it

soooo...

in the eort o attaining a bit more power what would you sggest i do next

its just an ongoing project that im gonna be using as a track toy as im never gonna get to use it in the snow as its not looking likely

what sort of power would you estimate it being as it is?

iv cranked the boost up on the atuator so it spikes at just under a bar and holds about .8

whats the best turbo to go for?

fuel pump?

or any other parts i should get hold of and fit first?

cheers

Hi there at first have look for mappable ECU like SimTek,Apexi Power FC,ESL...and later on think on other mods

With your above mods with 1bar you can have around 250-260bhp,but this is just guess

Second thing if you are looking for good and spooly turbo "older" VF24,VF28 should be all right, but if you want something good and newer i would have look for VF34,VF35 these two turbos are great and think on classic should make around 330-350bhp with supported mods.

At 320bhp you will need injectors something like 550cc or 440cc with aftermarket FPR(FueLab are great),fuel pump HRC 255LPH are good and for good price.

If you are looking fit these parts i would recommend/advise get your car mapped and really i would again recommend/advise get mappable ECU

yes,,,iv been looking into getting an apexi power fc

i have no idea as to how to use it though or where to get it mapped

would like to have ago myself though but initially i think it would be wise to get it done professionally

does apexi support anti lag and launch control?

what injectors is my car likely to have as standard?

cheers

I would advise get your Apexi mapped professionally, price for remap will be around from £250-£350

Really depends where are you located and some mappers are mobile, they can come to you or nearest RR(Rolling Road)

Not sure if Apexi support Launch control, but ALS is possible, but nothing like other mappable ECU(SimTek,Syvecs,MoTec,Gems etc)

Not sure what injectors you have, but you can have 380cc or 440cc,without the removing them,i don't know

apexi are an old and discontinued ecu im afraid

esl is the next rung up but no al/lc, new maffless version is now available

simtek is the next rung above with al/lc and maffless

if the tops of your injectors are grey there 380's, yellow 440's

i would get the new esl board which is now for v3/4 aswell, i think its 525 including mapping, it comes with switchable maps.

but if it was me i would get all the gear you want and put it all on then get it mapped
