Default Rear Screen Demist

My rear screen demist button lights up when pressed. However the screw stays misty. Has there possibly been a fuse go, or is it the screen?

There is a fuse, it's the same one that works your heated mirrors. Your switch will still light up if this is blown.

Possibly the fuse, but also possible a poor connection somewhere.
Check fuse first, then out with the circuit tester.

Can anyone recommend a repair kit to repair broken connections in the lines going across the window? A few of mine have breaks in them so only half the screen demists, pretty annoying. Cheers

You used to be able to buy silver conductive paint, but I'm not sure on glass, and tbh, the filaments are embeeded, so getting contact will be difficult.

I'd reckon a new screen from a breakers will end up a better bet

You can still get repair paint. Its normally scraping the screen that breaks the wires. Never scrap a rear heated screen.

Thanks for the info and sorry for the hijack! Some previous owner must have had a scouring pad on the window then or something! I'll get some conductive paint and look up a tutorial on YouTube and see if that works!
