Default subaru gave me this coolant :D

Ive been on Comma oils website and it recomends this coolant and ive used comma coolant in the past with my M3 and had no issues but from what I read and hear Impreza engines are very picky?

I use the blue/green comma stuff (Etheylene Glycol) as per the subaru handbook. You can use the newer pink/red types but you need to make sure system is flushed as it reacts with the older types and goes sludgy

i use http://www.commaoil.com/productsguide/view/6/300

Change it every 2 years.

i used a OATS one from halfords and it made a right mess. it must have reacted with the old stuff even after a thorough flush. i had to drain and fill again with blue comma which has been fine.

What do you mean by a right mess just foaming? could this have been from the flush you used as they tend to foam alot?

well after reading an australian forum they seem to have a very comprehensive guide on coolants and the coolant subaru brand as there own is made by shell and can be bought off there shelf or they get it from castrrol and the subaru conditioner is rad weld and they also add water wet aswel.

I think ill call subaru in the morning as i dont believe in using such things as rad weld
