Just wondering why were you thinking of doing it.

Are you planning on driffting. If you do decide to do it then put it up in the project section.

i have been thinking of this as well .if i race my car at castle coombe i will have to go in the gt class as 4x4 turbo with all the radicals and caterhams ie r500 ,which i will have no chance but if i go to RWD (500bhp) it will be with golfs mg and simaler

One of the lads at Richard Henry's did it. His was a classic type r. All it did initially was chew the rear tyres up at every opportunity. He did get it set up eventually but it was very tail happy and probably huge fun too.

Its been done plenty of times before and isnt massively difficult.

You can buy a solid coupling that replaces the centre diff (or on a budget the centre diff can be welded up).

Then the front driveshafts need pulling out and stripping down to become front stub axles with a flat machined on (or hole drilled through) to be able to do up the front hubs up.

thats pretty much it.
