Default Lost key

Hi all, i am looking to buy my first impreza very soon, i have found one very local to me and it sounds pretty much what i want, But....... and its a big but, the guy says he has lost the key for it, looking for advice as to what i can do to first hear the engine running and in future is the keys on the classics coded to the ECU? All replys appreciated

why would u buy a car with no keys, did he give u a screwdriver for the test drive , in all honestly make he pay for replacements then go from there

Yeah it leave it well alone for the time being tell him give you a call when he has sorted it and it actually has keys be surprised if anyone else buys it in the meantime with no keys. next he'll be asking you what colour you want

As above,it's up to the seller to get the key replaced then go from there.could be genuine but some sellers don't have the key so u can't hear the engine knocking etc
