Default Rear Light Fitting?

Just a quick question really, bought some classic STi rear lights, remember reading somewhere on here that there is a certain type of adhesive to use when putting them in?

Anyone Advise further?

Easier to get is this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_fr...All-Categories

There's one on there for £1.99.

Non-setting mastic.

I've used it on mine, plus for making sure a headlight was PROPERLY sealed after opening it.

For GOD'S sake DO NOT use adhesives!

If you do, WHEN, not if, but WHEN, the lights have to come out again, God help you, because no-one else will be able to.

This is what subaru use when they fit the lights from new and it stays soft so they can be removed, mastic is not the correct material otherwise subaru would use it.

OK, bud, have it your way.

But just for the record, the stuff Subaru use allows lights to leak after a few years, in my case, less than 5.

The Carafax is one shot: mine haven't leaked since I re-did 'em using it.....that's over EIGHT years

I know which I'll continue to recommend.
