Default Fuel pump change, slight problem

I have a bit of a problem, ive got as far as pulling the fuel connections off the tank and now hit a spot of bother.
the orange clippped fitting looks pretty shagged to me, i cant budge it one bit.
it looks rusty around the fitting and to top it off i think ive split the connector.
I have a pic below, but basically, where do I go from here?! the other side of the clip is barbed, so do you think i can replace the whole fitting with something else?
Help!

Just squeeze the 2 halves of the orange plastic clip together and the hose should just pull off (don't pull on the orange part as that stays attached to the connector) .

Im ****ed, as suspected the fitting is knackered and is leaking ( i suspect it had a weep before looking at the state of it).
What can i do now?!

Is the orange clip damaged or the connector at the end of the hose?
Post some pictures.

yeah the orange clip looks to have split, and fro mthe look under the fitting, it has been weeping for a while.
After some advice from my specialist, the whole clip assemply has been removed and will be changed for a new bit of hose and a few jubilee clips.
