Fitted a box to 94 classic, seems to me that the speedo gear is not moving or is seased , tested everyting else so I know for a fact the cable/speedo is ok,
can the speedo gear be replaced if so how hard/easy is it ??

u pushed it in hard enough at back of speedo, wont be seized as full of grease, check pin at end of cable as may be rounded off by bad fitting previously

 

I have put a drill on the end of the cable gearbox end and the speedo works! just doesn't when screwed into gear box???

 

Have you tried sniffing the seats as sometimes that helps me sometimes?
