Wink restting ecu

hi everyone sorry if this is basic knowledge but here goes what do i need to do to rest the ecu on my impreza wrx wagon any help appreciated thanx

buy a cheap OBDII/usb cable from ebay for £5 like I did and use a laptop with this software http://www.romraider.com/forum/topic2772.html to reset ECU

You can check error codes using it too

to simply reset the ECU disconnect your negative to your battery for 10 mins or soo. Itll clear any codes that have popped, but you wont be able to read them.
