Fitting Fuel Cut Defender to MY97
Bought a Superchips thing some years ago on Ebay and thought I would try and fit it.
It was fitted to an MY97 I figured it would bolt straight onto my own MY98 Wagon (Standard).
Anyway, the superchips thing is just a fuel cut defender plus bleed valve. I did a search and found this thread
https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...-uk-wagon.html
I read the link to the Pin Out and decided it was pin 6 on Connector B136 (Signal for the MAF sensor). I have duly wired it up, everything looks good - no engine check light etc, but I hit the fuel cut at just over 1 Bar.
I read the link again and it says to use Pin 17 - but according to the PDF that's not connected to anything.
I am really confused.

I think I have sussed it.
The Subaru wiring diagram is wrong, pin 17 is correct (for the MAP not MAF as I have connected) but is not marked.
I think this Legacy pinout for the same year shows the solution.
