Default HELP 4 pot calipers

ill start of its a 98 v4 turbo 2000 with 2 pot front calipers

the brakes on the car worked perfect

rite i brought a set of 4 pot calipers last week i cleaned them up abit and fitted them when i fitted the calipers when i bled them i couldnt get a pedel

i bled the brakes over and over again but could not get a pedal

if i pumped the pedal it would build up pressure but after about 5 seconds the pedal goes strait to the floor

i had a new set of seals ect delivered from ian godney that arrived this morning

so i took the calipers apart and cleaned them up new seals cleaned the pistons bors ect and refitted them

but it was exctally the same

i put a brake hose clamp on the drivers side hose and the pedal gose hard (as it should)

there is no fluid leaking any were i have checked and rechecked the conection were the pipe joins the caliper and the bleed nipple but nothing

i have since put my old calipers on and it bled up fine and the brakes are fine

What the hell is goin on can any 1 help me

HELP!!!

Are you fitting the 4 pot calipers with the bleed nipples at the top , if you put them on the wrong side the nipples will be at the bottom and will never bleed up properly

My son should have been there as he was taking the engine and box out of his car , so sorry he didn't answer.

Calipers must always have the bleed nipples at the highest point as the air will rise to the top of the calipers when you bleed them
Put them on right and it will bleed up straight away
Cheers Ian
