hi guys i posted on here before and had great replys and everything work thats was suggested on here,

im now having another issue i i have a subaru wrx v-limited 1996.and i thought it was driving great until it started spewing coolant out the overflow pipe,so after checking it out turns out the thermostat was knackered,so as a quick fix i took the thermostat out and car was runing fine without it in just barely any heat in the car.then the temp gauge started rising to half way and the fans keep kicking in.ive since drained the cooling system and filled it up again but it keeps doing the same temp gauge going to half way and fans kicking in,

im thinking it has a major airlock someware?
but top rad hose was hot,also bottom rad hot was hot?

any ideas or info would be great

 

sound like head gasket mate if its blowing coolant out the overflow pipe, dont sound like an airlock if both pipes were warm, i hope im wrong though but worth checking.

Is it loosing coolant? Your post isnt to clear. Youve refilled the coolant. Now the temp guage goes to halfway and the fan cuts in?
Thats what its supossed to do

 

Are you saying the temperature gauge is going up to half way immediately from a cold start?
