I had something similar last week.Mine felt hesitant and was spluttering between 1500 and 2000,but was fine when I floored it.
It then got a bit worse and started idling funny.Turned out to be a faulty mass airflow sensor.
How is it's idling when warm?does it hunt at all?
Nice car by the way.

Danny.

You can try unplugging it whilst its idling. If the engine speed changes, the MAF's doing 'something' if the engine speed/note doesnt change, its possibly fubared.

It could also be your coolant temp sensor, mine needs replacing and is a bugger to start when cold.

You could try cleaning it with some electrical contact cleaner. Sometimes works. Then reset the ECU

PS love the car and wheel colour combo

only other option is to find someone local with MAF and swap them over to test to see if it still does it with a working MAF in it
