have only had my STi for a few weeks and want to test the alarm system to see if it is working correcly. What the best way to test to see if the alarm is working as it should be?

you could try winding down a window lock it with the fob and stick your arm in see if the ultrasonicks pick u up or try jacking it up with the alarm on i may be wrong but i think they have a tilt sensor im sure ill be corrected

If its a standard alarm, you can turn the interior sensors off, temporarily.
While igntion is on, press the key fob, then turn igntion off. When you lock the car, the indicators will flash more than normal.
Good idea if you are leaving a pet in the car, or windows open for airing. The alarm will still work if the doors are opened.
