water leaking into boot
Hi was wondering if any of u nice guys/girls could give me some advice. My 02 plate bugeye sti prodrive has inherited a very bad leak after going into the boot it seems the water is coming in from the bottom passenger corner back window. Has anyone else had this problem? How do i fix it? Do i need a new back window? Any advice is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance

i had water in my boot turned out to be the rear light seals! was alot of water may be worth a check however it was on a classic.
i got some sealant and made my own new gasket

Thanks for your reply. I got my husband to lie in the boot with the boot closed and blasted it with the pressure washer and it would appear to be coming in through the base of the rear back window. Fricken stress considering the weather we are getting lol

If it IS coming in therough the base of the rear windSCREEN, (NOTE: NOT a back window!), the only option is to have a window fitter remove it, and reseal it. Ask at the local place, costs £30-£50.
Once they get the trims off, they will probably be able to see where the glue is thin, and leaking.
If, as you say, it's coming through a back window, then the option is to replace the rubber seal around it.

You can remove and replace a rear window yourself in about an hour, no sealing needed, just a rubber trim at the top it seats into and two along the bottom edge of the door. Can't see why it would leak, though
Rear windSCREENS, however, need specialist tools. Your specialist is taking the p*ss, trust me, I've had this done to fit a rear wash-wipe on a classic, needed a new rear SCREEN with the hole for the wiper arm.
Try a local windscreen place, ask one of the lads how much to do it on his time?
