Default Air Blowers

A random noise came from the fan (under the glove box), as if something went through the blades, and then the blowers came on full blast. I turned them to off, but now when I put the switch on either 1, 2, or 3, they are all the same flat out speed.

What is controlling the speed of the fan/blowers? The actual ****? Has this happened to anyone else before?

Cheers

There is a resistor that controls the fan speed it's behind the glove box on the bottom of the fan motor somewhere.

Thanks for the reply.

Do you know if it's a small resistor, which you get on PCB's, or something large-ish which I should be able to see?

Thanks

Brilliant, thanks a lot. Don't suppose that will be too easy to test! I will have to try to get a 2nd hand one to swap them over

Cheers for the help

No worries mate, When you get it out you might be able to see the resitor and just replace that if you have knowledge of electronics, maybe somewhere like RS elctronics or maplins sell them.
