Default number plate help

Hi,
does anyone know how to remove the front number plate from a 1998 impreza facelift? ive had a look and it looks like they are screwed on but when i try to unscrew them i just end up chewing the things thats holding them on, sorry for the dumb question/problem.

Im not sure what they screw into on a 98 car, but sounds like you need to drill them out now anyway. If your replacing the plates anyway, just get a large metal bit and blitz the heads off the screws, its likely this will melt the plate and possible the bumper if this is what its screwd into, so be carefull. Replacement plates are no trouble , just watch the bumper

cheers mate, they are like rubber/plastic things lol, never seen them before on a numberplate.

If its the plastic type screws, you might have to pull the numberplate towards you while unscrewing to get the screw out. If its a metal screw, chances are they are rusted and knackered, drilling them out will leave the end in, and make it harder to re-use the same holes.... If so, get a pair of piars and use that to unscrew the screw, that way, you'll have the same hole to screw new screws into, without having to make more holes in your bumper.

May be a plastic nut on the back that you have to hold while unscrewing the front.
