power gains??

Default power gains??

hi guys a have purchased a 2007 wrx and to be honest im not too impressed, i traded in a 270bhp astra vxr and i feel the scoob is slower, i really want to like this car what gains would i get from a exhaust and what else would you reccommend for more power gains?

your wrx will be about 45bhp less than your old vxr change your exhaust to a decat exhaust and fit a green panel filter then get a remap should see you about 280bhp if you want more than that you will need a bigger turbo pink injectors walbro fuel pump sti topmount intercooler

Did you not get a chance to test drive it before signing on the dotted line Scottie? Standard Imprezas, be that WRX or STI feel rather flat and need a few mods to bring them alive.
How was the VXR? I can imagine it being quick, but what about getting the power down, particularly in the wet?

with full decat , walbro fuel pump , k&n panel filter, and full remap mines is at around 280bhp/330lbs

This summer I upped the BHP on my WRX (2003) to 282bhp. The difference is significant from standard. Check out Andy Forrest Performance and follow his guide to stage one tuning. The torque and acceleration still make laugh like a wee boy on Christmas morning. The sound of the fully decatted exhaust also adds significantly to the enjoyment. Set your impreza free and reap the benefits.
