Default Locking wheel bolt removal ?

Got a couple of tyres put on in Jan and now need to take the locking bolts off, one was missing, the key is mullered and I cant get one of the bolts off, managed to get the other two off by hammering a socket over, the remaining one wont work as the collar is now rotating and doing its job.

Anyone had to remove them and what method did you use, are the Laser removal tools from Halfords any good ?

I had one with a rotating collar, managed to get it off by using a screwdriver and hammering it inside the collar and getting the collar off, then used a socket over the left over nut.

+1 for shifting the collar first, but for shifting any other kind of chipped or rounded off nut or bolt head I'd recommend Irwin "Bolt Grip" nut remover sockets. Extremely effective, even for the most totally knackered-to-hell nuts you'll ever run into.

Weld a bit of square bar on the end then use an 18" shifter

I think that some garages may well have a tool which is designed for removing those bolts. I had to get one removed from my original Mini Cooper and a Rover Garage managed to do it for me.
