hi everyone i was given these heads with a crank that i bought a while ago and they are just sat around in my garage collecting dust i was going to sell but not got a clue what they are off (apart from i know its a scooby lol) anyone have any ideas?

Version 3/4 Impreza Heads I would say,

is the only difference between the v1/v2 and the v3/v4 the hydraulic lifters? as i have 2 v1/v2 heads and they have the lifters in where as these dont

 

Yes, version 3/4 have shim over bucket type ;-)

 

Have they got under bucket shims, shims on top or hydraulic lifters

 

Phase 2 heads shown in the pictures - could be '01 WRX heads depending on the valve codes and colour of the valve springs.

I don't think these are v3/4 heads as the inlet manifold studs are not in line.
