Default Refurbing a leather steering wheel

Has anyone here done it?

I can't find a decent Nardi steering wheel so i'm thinking of refurbing mine.

If you've done it what did you use and how did you do it?

Wasn't going to go that far!!

I was thinking of using dye or leather paint to cover up where its worn.

I wondered if anyone has done it that can point me in the right direction.
