well i recently posted on here that i had boosting problems and i got the engine mapper to have a look and the ecu / boost is shagged !
so im looking to get a simtek fitted !!!!

but just for the time being i want to buy another standard ecu just to at least be able to drive it with boost while saving !!!

i took all the details from the ecu

its 3 plug so do i need to match this up with another ecu or do i need just a 3 plug one ?????
seen one on ebay its the same sort but from an type r !

its a version 5 wrx sti import !!! 1998

 

What is the issue causing the boost problem?

 

Sti version 5 has a J2 ecu, one i found on ebay

hi !!! thanx for the info and why is mine diffrent from the one u have suggested and its for a type r ??? does that mean my scooby is a type r? im not too clever wiv all these ecu s lol and also the described ecu in ya pic on ebay is 4 port !!!!!!!

and the boost problem is theres no output from the ecu!!!

 

or ra ????? how can i tell this as i thought a type r is 2 door and mines 4 door !!!!

 

Makes no difference what model car you have be it a type r/ra or just an sti, the J2 ECU is for the MY99 Sti's which were made from 9/98 - 8/99 and in regards to the 4 ports one is a blank.
