Default Window trim, help!

Hi guys.

On a Classic. There is the trim around the rear door windows the aluminium curved section, the black paint on mine has worn off back to the crome underneath, i'm gonna respray them. I don't want to spray them on the car cause you always get over spray. But I don't wanna break anything by forcing them off. Does anyone know how to get them off?

Thanks

When I was going to take mine off I started but realised they were only coming off with the whole trim that goes to the front doors. it look rivetted on. I didn't spend much time investigating. Just put it back and had a beer.

As above, pull the rubber seal out. There little round black clips at the bottom front, middle and back you'll need to pop out first. Undo the screws the on the curvey bit where the paint has come off there are two clips. Pull away from the car to unclip, job done!!

So does the back bit come off on it's own? Without the long strip?
I hope it does.
