Hi all car has done 98k miles and its a bugeye. It whines first to third not too bad but noticable, is this normal or is it on its way to being fubar? Is there anyway to make it.better?

Think its the gearbox could be the diff i guess

Have you checked the gearbox oil level and when were the oil(s) last replaced?

check the oil as tony as said. i'd even be tempted to just go buy some decent gearbox oil and replace it just to see, far cheaper than a box itself.

Mine's been slightly whining since new. 03 wrx with 44k miles on it now.
