Default Suspension Knocking

I have what appears to be a common fault in that the drivers side rear suspension is knocking at low speed or when turning (although mine is a 2005 WRX and I thought this was more common for STI's?).

What options do I have, do I need to replace both rears, and what kind of price range would I be looking at?

Cheers
Mark

I had the same on my 2005wrx. I got replacements from camskill. Give them a call and they can get the parts for you, same manufacturer as subaru use. You will need the subaru product code though. The ones I got were an sti shock. Alternative options are subaru dealer (stupid money) or aftermarket coilovers.

Hpoe that helps

Cheers for that, will give them a ring. Did you get both the rears replaced and was it a full strut/spring/top mounts kit that has to be replaced?

Have you tried spraying the existing damper shaft with grease? This can reduce or eliminate the noise.

No, I haven't, it's quite loud though so I'd be surprised if it eliminated it but worth a try to see if it quietens it a bit for now. Thanks!
