Default Which exhaust?

Hi everyone, a friend of mine has just bought a 2006 impreza, 2l DOHC. Non turbo. He has asked me to have a look around for him as he is not very clued up on his motors so I thought forums were the best place to start!

Basically he is after a cat back system, louder the better . Performance is a plus ofcourse. He has about 2-300 to spend and is more than happy to buy second hand. I know nothing about scoobs, more into my old skool hot hatches personally

Thanks in advance for any help.. cheers boys and girls!

I'm running an afterburner centre section and racebox back box from scooby world on my N/A sport. Has a really good tone, but will not sound like a scooby unless you change the headers (borla replica or similar).

What might work on an NA Sport has no relevance to an 06 turbo car and I would never contemplate putting an afterburner exhaust on my car.
Look at Exhausts UK/Cobra or Revolution both of which we use to good effect. Getting rid of the CAT will help. If you do change the downpipe always go for a 3" open neck.

I'm looking for a replacement exhaust for my turbo 2000 wagon. I'm not looking for extra power or sound as I'm limited to a budget these days. I've found a sportex system for around £250. Was wondering if there are any other decent systems for a similar price?

Cobra exhaust UK will help you sort nice exhaust and very good.

I checked out the cobra box box and also came across a scooby sport one for a similar price, does anyone have any thoughts on which may be the better of the two?
