Default Front Wippers Issue????

Evening all

First time i use my terzo impreza in the rain today and the wipers seem to return too far down and knock into each other?

It seems to be intermittent & all of a sudden they will act normal and stop at the correct hight & then go too far down & knock into each other..

Any idea's on where to start looking tomorrow

Sounds like the wiper arms have come loose, there is a nut holding the wiper arm to the spindle, check its not come undone, if not there must be some play in the linkage from the motor arm or somewhere in the system.

Get hold of the wiper arm and see if it will move up the screen when switched off, you should be able to feel where the play is or where its come loose.

Hopefully will be loose or the splines on the wiper. If it is the splines on the mechanism try a small amount of superglue. If its still moving as you describe its not foobarred.

Well i finally got time to have a look today and found the problem to be the linkage onto the motor ball joint, the white cap that holds the linkage to the motor worn so there it alot of play.

Anyone know where to get a new one??

Cheers
