Default Att Pete Cobra Exhaust

Hi all im new to the forum and was woundering if anyone can shed a little light on my annoying noise.

I havent had my 2003 STI long when and i decided to fit a cobra 3" cat back system it sounds great but since i took it out for the first run with the exhaust fitted it has developed a tinny vibrating noise which SEEMS to be coming from the passenger rear door.

I have taken the rear door card off and had someone in the rear passenger seat trying to pin piont the noise but have had no luck every thing is tight and the are no sloppy parts.

The noise is not always there just seems to be at sertain revs and road surfaces.

Its as if sertain frequencies of the exhaust are vibrating something.

Once into high gears sitting at 60mph-80mph there is no noise what so ever.

Has anyone come cross anything simlar?????

I have changed my exhaust back to std and the noise has stopped, i rang cobra and they said cos i have not got my invoice there is nothing they can do they suggested i contacted you through the forum.

Hope you can help it seems to be a loose baffel.

Is it not one of the mounting brackets for the exhaust ?

I have a similar problem but i think mine is the exhaust mounting bracket that rattles when i accelerate at low revs.

Have you considered calling him directly? I'm sure you have more chance of getting a hold of him compared to posting up a thread on a forum?

He's good people and will set you straight, but maybe try contacting direct.

It maybe a baffle but we can test things like this for you at no cost...
