Default electical problem

on full throttle at 4 gear, engine suddenly stopped. after checking there is no fuel pump, injectors, ignition, check engine light, rev counter didnīt work. these things work through ecu. something has happend with ecu or power supply/ground? opened up the ecu case and did not notice any signs of burned through ecu. does anyone have the experience of this kind of thing?

it stops for some time yes, cools a little down and then it starts for some time again. nothing works, because all these things go through main relay. relay is ok and other relays also. i suspect a wireing problem to this relay or ecu.

Could it be a loose battery terminal?

Does sound like it is on the ignition side. Do you have the wiring diagrams as I may have a copy?

it is ver2 sti and no alarm, i have some diagrams. i fear there is a short-circuit somewhere, because the fuse of main relay also went. can i measure the wires that go to main relay? would that help? or i get nothing of it? basically a know there has to be problem amongst these 6 wires that go to main relay.

If you have a turbo timer then check the wiring. Mine was doing the same and was down to that.

check and clean all the main earth leads from battery to body and battery to engine block. Its even worth adding an extra 1 or 2 earths. certainly one from the battery to some where down near the ecu is a good idea.
