Default losing water

hi, topped my water up about a month ago and today while at mcdonalds realised my temp was close to the top. let it cooled down for abit checked the water to find it empty obviously i have a problem somewhere but im hoping its nothing serious. am i right in saying that if the water was going into the engine then the car would be miss firing??

Hi mate it could be the headhasket but before jumping to a conclusion check of obvious leaks or rad pin holes that could take a while to empty the rad check your oil level (if the level has gone up and the oil colour has changed then you have water in the sump too), since you have tooped up the water (assuming you have) has the temp gone up again? if it has im sure it wil be gasket mate.

i topped the water up yesterday did 70miles and the temp didnt budge from where it normally sits. i have looked again today and you have 3 pipe's to the top of the water tank. the 1 that heads down towards the turbo looks like it could be leaking, i will take a picture and put it up.

cheers

Just a thought but try replacing those stock clips with a good quality jubilee clip.
