Default Hesitation/Misfire above 4K

Hi

Got a slight problem with my car and was hoping someone can give me an idea as to what it might be !

Every so often whilst having a 'spirited' drive, my car hesitates/misfires, when this happens the exhaust starts to pop at the same time quite quickly and loudly

It only happens above 4K revs and so far its only happened in 4th or 5th gear and only happens on full throttle

the car in question is a V3 Type R. it has a full exhaust, panel filter, 255 pump and FPR and running 1 bar of boost with an electronic boost controller

Any ideas ?

I was thinking bad batch of fuel but what do I know

Could be spark plug gaps, do you know what these are set to?

It is possible they need gapping, I would say about 0.65mm at 1 bar. It may not be this but it is the easiest thing to check.

Might possibly be the neutral position switch? my car kept hesitating when in 4th gear when giving it some throttle.

yep its a fast bap noise, like what you get when a little bit of petrol ignites in the exhaust, seems to do it more if I have the boost turned up

I'll get the plugs checked

Thanks

my car was having the exact same issue above 5500 rpm.
I changed spark plugs and stock ignition wires with some Magnecor 8.5 and all sorted now!
