Default Trackcar

Hi

Im thinking about bulding a track car for the nurburgring nordschleife.
I actually own a sti v2 which is standard and is used on a daily basis at the moment.

Which car is the best for track use?

Keeping my sti v2 or buy another classic? which classic is the best out of the box for track or isnt is that important because you change everything for track anyway.

What about the newer models gdb bug and blob?
I think classics are better, lighter more agile cars and fun to drive with?

Which engine, diff, gerbox, brake, tyre and weight reduction setup do you recommend?

Power isnt to important at the beginning. it it blows then i rebuild but to learn i drive with stock engine first. the driver makes it fast
But please tell me whats your idea of an absolutely safe and undestroyable track engine which runs and runs like a clockwork!
how much is a safe setup?

Pls dont post if you just tell what others talk. I want your own experience.

Would be nice if some time attack teams reply
