Default 1999 impreza dump valve fitting

Hi Guys…. Im after a dump valve for my Scooby…. It’s a 1999 classic so first of all any suggestions to which one?? Secondly Iv found a couple on ebay that have the triangular fitting to mount the intercooler but are off the later model (2002 onwards) was wondering if this would fit??

Can I buy for example any HKS one and then buy the fitting kit separate or a dump valves specific to models??

Cheers

just stick your head out of your window while driving along. shout "tssssssssk" every time you change gear. it will add just as much performance to your car.

The MY99/00 TMIC needs the "diamond" flanged DVs.

As you said, the triangular ones are for the New Ages.

You don't need a dump valve, your Scooby should already have one fitted, as as the Subaru OEM one, that is most likely fitted to your car, is one of the best out there then no need to change it

Look I've saved you a load of money

Sorry but dispite getting an A in my 'O' level english exam ,i do not know what the term chav is . To insure a impreza on its own can be a challenge & to run a car that will empty your wallet faster than your mrs can, and drinks fuel like alcoholic at a free bar , is no mean feat, opposed to the citron saxa's,corsa's. that i normally see tearing round our streets..
The image that people have will depend on how a car is being driven.Subarus have a reputation as being a road going rally car ,so imho most people who buy them wont want to tootle down the carriageway doing 40 mph(unless there still in 2nd gear),a fact backed up with why so many police forces use impreza's as pursuit cars - the image.

You can if you wish buy a bailey, forge, blitz, etc dumpvalve which will be specific for your model car & have the the holes for the 2 x 12 mm bolts that attatch it to your intercooler. However if you want to fit a hks then you will need a fitting kit like the one in the link below .

Who care about what others said, live your own life, I have had bailey, changed it to HKS SSQ, now HKS SSQ with DIY fitting kit to become re-cir. no issue at all, just try out to see for yourself, it's not the end of the world, I use my gc8 for school run sometime, all the boys love it, I know , I dont own a BMW or Mec., but hey, it just a car.

Cool

You have a 12 year old car moving onto classic status as a rare specialist machine to
Be admired and cherished
Spend £200 on some proper detailing products and make it a great example people like to
See an old car on great condition
Not a Car making silly whistling noises which is sad
( no doubt I will be lnched too )
You need to preserve it and apreciate it not turn heads in mcdonalds car parks by teenager chavs
